After having spent over 18 years in the Canadian Armed Forces, I found myself transitioning to civilian life due to an injury. During my time with the army, before the implementation of the Integrated Relocation Program (IRP), I worked in Reception and Dispatch taking care of military member postings and their associated moves. I experienced 15 different real estate transactions associated with my military own moves; some were more difficult than others.

The real estate process piqued my interest and was a logical transition for my second career. I dedicated myself to complete the required real estate courses and license in a timely fashion; completing all articling prior to starting to trade. During

my first year while working full-time, I also enrolled in Algonquin College’s intense 2 year Business program. I made it my goal to learn as much as possible as I didn’t want clients to feel as I often had; confused, lost, and without enough guidance. I wanted them to benefit from having a Realtor® with a well educated and experienced background.

The time taken to get to know clients is never wasted, it is essential to my process. The goal isn’t just to fi nd a home that fits into the budget, but also the needs of the family and their lifestyle. I enjoy helping families transition as they move; guiding them through the process to make informed decisions. More than just buying and selling houses, I am looking to be a matchmaker; matching each client to the home and neighbourhood that best matches their lifestyle and needs. For the sellers I prepare them for the entire process and help them to market their homes for the best possible price. If things do go awry, it is my job to ensure that the right pieces are put in place to remedy the situation, with the least amount of stress to the client.

Raised in the Ottawa Valley, and having returned here with my family and the forces, I am intimately familiar with what the different boroughs have to offer. I love to share the best-kept secrets of our area with my clients.
